Storytelling predates writing. The earliest forms of storytelling were usually oral combined with gestures and expressions. Modern storytelling is widely used to address educational and business objectives. New forms of media are creating new ways for people to record, express and consume stories.

“Digital storytelling” is a relatively new term which describes the new practice of everyday people who use digital tools to tell their ‘story’. Digital stories often present in compelling and emotionally engaging formats and can be interactive.

In this skill, we would start from the age-old practice of storytelling, how Pixar revolutionised the way stories are told in the movie industry and what professionals can learn from them. We would dive into a course from Houston University which gives the foundation of storytelling and how it can be used in our day-to-day life.
